Spring Into Summer

While the UK summer remains as damp and grey as a mouse in a rainstorm, Manga Entertainment will keep the sun shining in the hearts of anime fans with a wealth of new releases. August saw the world's favourite shinobi back in action in Naruto Shippuden Movie 3: The Will Of Fire, available as a standalone release and in a movie triple pack. "What can I say about Naruto, other than it's unbeatable?" says Andrew Hewson, Junior Product Manager at Manga. "After seven years it is still the number one selling franchise for us, whether for the series or movies, thanks to the very dedicated and loyal fan base this ninja has. If you're a Naruto fan then you are in for a treat with Will Of Fire, and for those of you who haven't watched the previous movies, what are you waiting for? Pick up the triple pack and see what all the fuss is about."

At the extreme end of the anime spectrum, August also saw the blood-soaked arrival of Berserk 2: The Battle For Doldrey. "Sequels never live up to their predecessors but The Battle For Doldrey is the exception," says Andrew. "Extremely epic with a great mix of fantasy and action. This is the anime Game Of Thrones, violent and pulling no punches."

If Berserk whets your appetite for slice and dice action, expect to hear the clashing of steel and magic in Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. "We are extremely happy to be releasing Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, it's a great movie with some spectacular action sequences which we know fans will enjoy - especially on Blu-ray," says Andrew. "Past releases that are based on video games such as Persona 4 and Tales Of Vesperia have been very successful for us and we hope this follows suit with Fate/Stay Night."

September keeps the blood flowing with the gruesome prison action / horror show Deadman Wonderland. "This is a fantastic series, a very dark ultra-violent sci-fi," says Andrew. "If you liked High School Of The Dead, then you're going to love this! Moreover, we are the first territory to release this on Blu-ray which we hope fans are happy about."
