Hal

When Kurumi's boyfriend Hal dies in a tragic accident, a robotic replica programmed with his personality is provided to help her move on. As Robo-Hal struggles to live up to the legacy of a dead man, Kurumi battles through emotional turmoil to confront her conflicted feelings towards the replacement. Is a person merely flesh and blood, or the sum of memories accrued over a lifetime?

The first movie from Wit, the studio behind the fan-favourite Attack on Titan and boasting many of the same creators, Hal is a futuristic look at loss, grief, death, and life. Anime Limited will release the thought-provoking film in the latter half of 2014.
