Nisekoi: False Love Season 1 Part 1

The course of true love does not run straight. In fact, true love frequently has to duck for cover. When Raku Ichijo was just a wee lad, he made a vow to one day marry the girl he loved. Now he’s a teenager, and unfortunately he can’t remember her name or what she looked like, but he knows that the girl of his foggy memories has the key to the locket he wears. He hopes that she might be his dreamy classmate Kosaki Onodera, for whom he is secretly carrying a torch, but that all gets blown out the window by the arrival of Chitoge Kirisaki, transfer student from the States: super athletic, explosively bad tempered and now, like it or lump it, the love of Raku’s life. See, Raku’s dad is actually the head of the Shuei-Gumi yakuza syndicate, which is constantly butting heads with (i.e. shooting at members of) the Beehive gang, which is led by Chitoge’s dad. So to keep the peace, the two fathers order their kids to make nice and play the lovebirds. How can Raku ever find his true love when he keeps having to make kissy faces at Chitoge? The series is out now from Kaze.
