Samurai Jam: Bakamatsu Rocks

Distributor: Animatsu
Date: Out Now

As any historian worth their salt can tell you, at the end of the 19th century, the shogunate used brainwashing idol songs to numb the Japanese people into obedience. But luckily, a hero has emerged to fight fire with fire, or in this case, with rock and roll! Sakamoto Ryouma and the rest of his band are determined to fight for the freedom of the people via the medium of really loud guitar solos, and not even finger cramps are going to stop their raucous rebellion.
The series is animated by Studio Deen, formerly of Axis Powers Hetalia fame, and is adapted from a rhythm / adventure game for the PSP. It’ll be interesting to see how that translates across to the new medium, but one thing’s for certain – the soundtrack is sure to be epic!
