First guests announced for MCM Expo and Bakuman news

The first anime guests have been announced for the upcoming MCM London Expo, which returns to the capital on 26 to 28 October.

Ali Hillis will be attending. Ali's voice should be familiar to fans of Final Fantasy XIII in which she played Lightning. Her other credits include the Mass Effect games and the Marvel anime X-men in which she voiced Emma Frost.

Voice actor and ADR director Liam O'Brien has a wealth of experience in the anime business. A handful of his best known roles include Gaara in Naruto, Archer in Fate Stay Night and Ieyasu Tokugawa in Sengoku Basara.

Finally on the voice acting front, Courtenay Taylor will be on hand to promote Resident Evil 6 in which she plays Ada Wong.

Toshio Maeda, who created the infamous Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend, is coming over for the Expo.

In non-anime Expo news, British actor Matt Smith will be there. He's in something called Doctor Who apparently. The eleventh incarnation of the Time Lord will participate in a panel discussion with the show's Executive Producer, Caroline Skinner.

The panel discussion will also be freely available online so all Doctor Who fans can tune in. Matt Smith will also sign 100 copies of the new DVD. The first 100 people to purchase the new series' DVD at the BBC Worldwide stand will receive a wristband for the signing at the venue's Signing Hall.

Last but not least, and not related to the Expo, Manga has announced that Kaze will still be releasing Bakuman in the UK despite the plug being pulled on the US release by Media Blasters. The only impact of that decision will be that the series will be released without an English dub.
