MangaUK and Kaze news from the London MCM Expo

News and announcements from MangaUK and Kaze from the London MCM Expo.

MangaUK held their first ever live podcast which they used to announce new acquisitions and release dates.

Manga has snagged the rights to Mamoru Hosoda's The Wolf Children which is awesome news for anyone who loved Summer Wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Manga are planning a theatrical release followed by DVD/Blu-ray in 2013.

Japan's favourite vampire slayer Saya returns in Blood-C, the latest incarnation of Blood: The Last Vampire. Manga has secured the rights to both the new Blood-C: The Series by Production IG and CLAMP, and the movie Blood-C: The Last Dark directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani.

Speaking of vampires, Manga announced that parts 5 to 8 of Hellsing Ultimate are scheduled for May 2013, to be accompanied by a re-release of the preceding volumes.

On the planner for 2013 are the science fiction action series Guilty Crown, the previously announced Jormungand and the harem comedy Cat Planet Cuties.

Manga is hoping to release Steins;Gate in early summer 2013 but is still in negotiations about that one.

Kaze has a full roster for the start of 2013. January will see the release of both Journey To Agartha and Tiger & Bunny.

Those will be followed in February by Bleach The Movie: Hell Verse.

Kaze is planning to release the first installment of the anime adaptation of Bakuman in the Spring of 2013.

Coming from the team that created Death Note, expectations are high for Bakuman which concerns two high school boys who dream of becoming professional manga creators.
