Dragon Ball Super

GET READY FOR an amazing summer, as Dragon Ball Super, the first new anime TV series for the franchise in 18 years, is set to hit Fuji TV in July!

Dragon Ball GT was the last television outing for the series, and debuted in 1996. Super looks set to continue in the epic tradition of the show, bringing even more action to the small screen thanks to original creator, Akira Toriyama, who is providing the original story and character concepts. This new series will follow directly from the events in Dragon Ball Z and new movie Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’, according to a press release from Toei Animation.

“Having loved Dragon Ball since childhood, it is very exciting to be a part of this project,” stated Osamu Nozaki, producer from Fuji TV. “Mr. Toriyama has developed a plot that’s not only a dream come true for Dragon Ball’s millions of fans, but one that will foster in a new generation of viewers.” Stay tuned for more updates as we get them!
