Akira and GITS Double Bill At The Prince Charles Cinema

The Prince Charles Cinema, located just off Leicester Square in London, continues to provide a caring, loving home for Asian cinema and anime lovers. The Terracotta Festival runs there from 12 to 15 April but before that, don't miss a Double Bill of Ghost In The Shell and Akira on 2 April.

Ghost In The Shell is Mamoru Oshii's adaptation of the best-selling manga by Masamune Shirow. It follows a group of cops, led by the cyborg Major Makoto Kusanagi, on the trail of a hacker known as The Puppet Master. Along the way, it explores what it means to be human in an age dominated by technology.

Katsuhiro Otomo's visionary masterpiece Akira is set in Neo-Tokyo, where teenage motorcycle gang members Tetsuo and Kaneda stumble upon a secret government experiment to unlock the telekenetic powers of ordinary humans - but with explosive results.

Tickets for the Double Bill are priced £7 for members of the PCC and £12 for non-members. If you just want to see one of the movies, tickets are £4 for members, £6.50 for non-members.
Ghost In The Shell is on at 7.00PM
Akira is on at 8.45PM
