It's Coming! Dragon Ball Z Finally Hits DVD!

It has been a long wait for UK fans, but Manga Entertainment has announced that Dragon Ball Z will finally be released on DVD here starting this summer. Better still, the new release features a digitally remastered transfer in high-definition widescreen.

Created by Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball Z was a gateway for many Western fans into the world of anime. The original manga has sold hundreds of millions of copies and is a global phenomenon.

Manga will release all 291 episodes across nine season box sets starting on 2 July.

Volume 1 will feature 39 episodes over 6 DVDs and tell the epic story of The Saiyan Saga, as Goku learns his true identity and fights for the fate of Earth itself.

The rest of DBZ will be released as follows:

Series 2 - 27th August 2012
Series 3 - 1st October 2012
Series 4 - 5th November 2012
Series 5 - 7th Jan 2013
Series 6 - 11th March 2013
Series 7 - 13th May 2013
Series 8 - 15th July 2013
Series 9 - 16th September 2013
