Blue Exorcist Release Details From Manga

Manga is set to release the first installment of the supernatural shonen action series Blue Exorcist here in the UK this summer.

The company has confirmed via Twitter that the series will be released with subtitles only and no English language dub at present.

The comment came in response to the news that VIZ Media will be streaming an English language dub of the show in the US via their Neon Alley service.

"It'll be late 2013 before a dub release will be possible, so tide yourself over with the sub only release this summer," replied Manga to a question about the UK edition.

Blue Exorcist follows the adventures of Rin Okumura, a 15-year-old lad who learns that his explosive temper is a direct result of the fact that he is the son of Satan.

Determined to reject his devilish background, Rin enrols at the True Cross Academy, an institution dedicated to training exorcists to battle against demons.

Part 1 is due on DVD on 20 August, to be followed by Part 2 on 29 October. The original manga series by Kazue Kato is out now from VIZ Media.
