Tiger And Bunny Coming To The BFI In September

Following on from the success of the excellent Anime Weekend in June, the BFI will be screening a special preview of Tiger And Bunny: The Beginning on Sunday 23 September.

The screening will give UK audiences the chance to see the film on the same weekend as its Japanese release, which is quite a coup for the BFI!

Based on the successful Japanese TV anime, the film tells the story of an alternative Earth, where superheroes are celebrities and a TV show ranks their achievements, awarding them points until an annual King of Heroes is crowned.

Veteran hero Wild Tiger is assigned a new partner with very different views on the role of a hero in society, but a vigilante criminal soon presents them with a serious problem.

The screening will be at 17:50 at BFI Southbank.

Kaze has picked up the series for the UK, as we reported in May.
