Three Studio Ghibli Classics Coming To Blu-Ray

November brings three more Studio Ghibli movies to Blu-ray as Studio Canal expands the high-definition selection of fan favourites from Hayao Miyazaki's famous studio.

The three titles are Lupin III: The Castle Of Cagliostro, which was Miyazaki's debut feature film as director back in 1979, My Neighbour Totoro and Grave Of The Fireflies.

Lupin III: The Castle Of Cagliostro sees master thief Lupin The Third on a mission to rescue an innocent princess from the clutches of the dastardly villain who hopes she holds the key to a lost treasure.

My Neighbour Totoro, from 1988, is the wonderful story of two girls who move to a house in the countryside with their father while their mother is in hospital. The film shows the interplay between people and the natural world that is a recurring theme in Miyazaki's work as the girls befriend the magical creatures that live in the forest around their new home.

Directed by Isao Takahata Grave Of The Fireflies is a powerful and often harrowing film about a boy and his little sister struggling to survive World War II.

My Neighbour Totoro and Lupin III: The Castle Of Cagliostro will be released as DVD/Blu-ray Double Play sets on 12 November.

Grave Of The Fireflies is due in 2013, date to be confirmed.
