Eden of the East: Complete Collection

Collecting together all 11 episodes of the original Eden of the East TV series, along with the two movies, King of Eden and Paradise Lost, plus the Air Communication OVA, this is the ultimate collection for fans of the series.

Three months after a missile strike hits Japan - failing to notch up any victims - Japanese tourist Saki Morimi gets the shock of her life outside the White House in Washington DC. You see, Saki manages to get herself in a spot of bother - but it's the nature of her rescuer that's the real eye-opener... Akira Takizawa claims to have no memory, but that's not really the surprising thing about him. Yes, he's stark naked, but even that isn't as strange as the fact that he has a mobile phone which is charged with ¥8,200,000,000!

Thus begins a whirlwind adventure for Akira and Saki, as they uncover the mysterious game that Akira is a part of - set up with the intention of transforming Japan forever. Akira isn't the only player, however - and not everyone is trying to achieve the same outcome...

The Eden TV series is undoubtedly one of the best anime thrillers in recent years, and although the quality of the offering dips somewhat with the first movie, King of Eden, Paradise Lost is a far more satisfying conclusion for the story so far. Morphing into a mystery drama by its close, Eden is a mature and rewarding franchise, and if you haven't seen it yet, this is the perfect way to do so.

Eden of the East proves that mature and thoughtful anime can also provide thrills and spills in equal measure!
