Pokemon Adventures

With the worldwide launch of Pokémon X and Y, Pokéfever is now a global pandemic. The signs are sadly obvious: an inability to put down your 3DS, an obsession with Pokéballs, and a bad bout of Pik-achoos. A sure indication that all hope is lost comes when the victim begins to consume periphery media - like this double edition of Pokémon Adventures: HeartGold and SoulSilver. Call the time, doctor. This patient cannot be saved.

Aimed at younger kids, this unashamededly shonen adventure will certainly win no awards for originality, but it provides Pokéfans with exactly what they want: battling aplenty. It jumps into the action as we follow two Pokémon trainers: one carefree and upbeat called Gold, and the other dark and mysterious, called Silver. Together they must defeat an old nemesis by the name of Lance, and his Legendary Pokémon Arceus.

Team Rocket, Pokémon and battling: what more do you need?
