Witchcraft Works Vol. 1

Honoka Takamiya thinks he’s a nobody – the only exciting thing about him is that he sits next to the school’s super-popular idol, Ayaka Kagari. She’s so popular she has a fan club, and an elite guard who protect her all day long. But even sitting next to Ayaka doesn’t bring Honoka any joy – in fact, he gets beaten to a pulp if he so much as interacts with the school’s princess. So, his shock is understandable when he is rescued from certain death (in the form of the school’s clock tower about to fall on his head) by the aforementioned princess, who is now wearing a witch’s costume. Turns out that it’s really Honoka who is the special one, and Ayaka is sworn to protect him! This supernatural high school tale has recently been adapted as an anime series – find out where the action started in the original manga version.

High school loser turns out to be so powerful that the most popular girl in school gets assigned as his magical bodyguard. We wish…
