Bullet Ballet

In 2012, Third Window re-mastered Shinya Tsukamoto's nightmarish Tetsuo The Iron Man, and they continue to revive the director's back catalogue. In 1998's Bullet Ballet, salaryman Goda (played by Tsukamoto) comes home from work one day to find that his girlfriend has fatally shot herself. Baffled as to why, and considering the question of how she acquired a handgun, Goda becomes obsessed with getting his hands on an identical weapon. After being beaten up by a gang, Goda's quest becomes even more fervent, coupled with a desire for revenge. Expect another disturbing study of obsession and violence from Tsukamoto's twisted imagination.
