Zipangu Fest 14 to 16 September in London

Zipangu Fest is an annual film festival that explores the areas of Japanese cinema that other festivals never reach.

It returns this year from 14 to 16 September at The Cinema Museum in Kennington, South London.

The festival kicks off on Friday 14 September with a programme of three short films followed by the rarely seen Japanese-North Korean co-production Somi - The Taekwon-do Woman, which has never been shown in the West before now.

The line-up includes Masanori Tominaga's documentary The Echo Of Astro Boy's Footsteps about Matsuo Ohno, the pioneering anime sound designer.

Venue: The Cinema Museum, 2 Dugard Way (off Renfrew Road), London SE11 4TH
