Sci Fi Japan TV and Gaijin Channel Launch Documentary Series

SciFi Japan, the website devoted to monster movies, Ultraman and all things awesome, has launched Gaijin Channel to take viewers all over the world behind the scenes with some of Japan's best known icons of film and TV.

Shot on location in Japan, SciFi Japan TV features the latest and hottest events in Japan as well as simple yet in-depth discussions with the filmmakers who bring the films to life.

This continuing series of short web documentary features is produced by the Gaijin Channel team in Tokyo, Japan in co-operation with the SciFi Japan website.

Each episode is distributed free of charge to an international audience via YouTube.

The brains behind the new venture are JR Lipartito, who was born in New York; Jim M. Ballard who hails from Southampton; Keith Aiken, a professional illustrator and storyboard artist in Los Angeles; and Bob Johnson who has been a guest lecturer for the Kaiju Cinema course at UC Berkeley.

The first three episodes to be released are:
Ultraman Max Producer
Tokusatsu Museum
The Man Who Became Godzilla

All episodes can be viewed for free at: www.youtube.com/GaijinCh

The Man Who Became Godzilla is a tribute to Haruo Nakajima, the first man to wear the monster suit and to stomp all over the puny humans as Godzilla, sure to warm the heart of any kaiju fan.
