Take A Happy Flight At The Embassy Of Japan

The monthly film programme at the Embassy Of Japan in London continues in April with a screening of Happy Flight.

Directed by Shinobu Yaguchi the film is a comedy following the crew and passengers of a flight from Tokyo to Honolulu.

Kazuhiro Suzuki (Seiichi Tanabe) is a young co-pilot hoping to qualify as a fully fledged pilot, but on the flight to Honolulu he finds himself paired with the notoriously strict Captain Harada (Saburo Tokito) as his examiner.

Meanwhile Etsuko Saito (Haruka Ayase) is a youthful cabin attendant and the flight to Honolulu is her first international assignment.

Like Suzuki, she faces a formidable supervisor in the form of the demanding Chief Purser Yamazaki (Shinobu Terajima).

The screening takes place at the Embassy on Tuesday 23 April 2013, doors open at 6.00PM and the film starts at 6.30PM.

Attendance is free but you must register for a place in advance which you can do on the Embassy's website.
