Terracotta Announces Hong Kong Film Festival Line Up

Terracotta Distribution has joined forces with the Hong Kong Economic Trade Office, London to promote a film festival to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to China.

Beginning on 2 July and running until 14 July, with venues, times and running order to be confirmed, the HK15 Festival line-up is a mixture of old and new.

The films exploring the current state of Hong Kong cinema will be:
A Simple Life - the award winning drama about the friendship between a movie producer and his Ah-ma by Ann Hui
Big Blue Lake - by Jessey Tsang Tsui-Shan
White Vengeance - by Daniel Lee
Life Without Principle - by Johnnie To
The Bounty - by Fung Chi Chiang
The Detective 2 - by Oxide Pang
East Meets West 2011 - the latest HK nonsense comedy from Jeffrey Lau
Wu Xia - by Peter Chan

The strand under the banner 15 Years: A Review will consist of:
Made In Hong Kong - by Fruit Chan
When Beckham Met Owen - by Adam Wong
Infernal Affairs - Any Lau and Tony Leung cross wits in this high stakes thriller by Andrew Lau and Alan Mak
Sparrow - by Johnnie To
Dream Home - by Pang Ho-cheung

and finally (and dare we say, most awesomely) there will be screenings of two classic Shaw Brothers kung fu movies from the 1970s:
The 36th Chamber of Shaolin - by Lau Kar-Leung starring Lau Kar-Fei in one of his best roles as the Shaolin monk San Te
The One Armed Swordsman - the influential swordplay film by Chang Cheh starring Wang Yu
