Tease Your Tastebuds With The Trailer For Antique Bakery

Sexual tension and unsolved mystery are in the air at an up-market cake shop in Antique Bakery, the comedy-drama from director Min Kyu-dong.

One of the most successful Korean gay movies ever made, Antique Bakery is based on the manga by Fumi Yoshinaga, which was the inspiration for an anime series in Japan.

The film has been screened at the Berlin International Film Festival, the Austin Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival, New York Asian Film festival, Ghent International Film Festival, Hawaii International Film Festival 2009 and the Terracotta Festival here in the UK.

As the heir to the family fortune, Jin-hyuk (Joo Ji-hoon) decides to put his dough into setting up a cake shop that he calls Antique.

As a single guy with money and good looks, he figures a cake shop is bound to be a hit with the ladies.

To handle the actual cake creation side of the operation, he hires Sun-woo (Kim Jae-wook), a talented patissier who had a crush on Jin-hyuk back in high school.

They are joined in their enterprise by an ex-boxing champion Gi-beom (Yoo Ah-in) and a clueless bodyguard Su-young (Choi Chi-ho).

Although seemingly carefree and happy, each of the four men has an unforgettable past that they are afraid to face. But their secrets slowly begin to unravel even as the icing piles up on Sun-woo's cakes.

Antique Bakery will be released on DVD on 11 February 2013 by Terracotta Distribution. Here's the trailer.
