Trailer for Live Action Rorouni Kenshin Movie

Nobuhiro Watsuki's Rorouni Kenshin, better known as Samurai X, follows a wandering swordsman called Himura Kenshin who is actually a former assassin known as Hitokiri Battosai. He has tried to leave his violent past behind, but some secrets refuse to stay buried and Kenshin's sword will not stay idle for long.
Set after the Meiji Restoration and the end of the Tokugawa era, the manga was adapted into an anime series that was released here in the UK by ADV back in 2003. Now director Keishi Ohtomo is bringing the wandering swordsman to the big screen.
Takeru Sato, who played Kamen Rider on TV in Japan, plays the title character and is joined in the cast by Emi Takei, Yu Aoi, from Turtles Are Surprisingly Fast Swimmers, and Teruyuki Kagawa from Tokyo Sonata.
The film opens in Japan on 25 August. Fingers crossed Kenshin will wander his way over to these shores.
