Sadako Throws The First Pitch At The Tokyo Dome

Back on 1 April, we brought you the trailer for Sadako 3D, the latest installment in the Ringu franchise.

In what can only be described as a genius piece of publicity, Sadako herself took to the field on Wednesday at the Tokyo Dome to throw the first pitch at the opening of a game between the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters and the Chiba Lotte Marines.

How she could see where she was throwing with that hair in her face is anyone's guess but to her credit she managed to get the ball over the plate before collapsing in a ghostly heap.

Sadako 3D, directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa, opens in Japan on 12 May.

As for Sadako's prospects in baseball? As a pitcher, she makes a great ghost.
