Animal Crossing Profile: Timmy and Tommy

Animal Crossing: New Leaf is out tomorrow! How can you stand the wait? We'll tell you how - by soaking up all the details you can get your mitts on thanks to our character profile series! Today we're covering Timmy and Tommy, shop keepers extraordinaire.

Not only is Tom Nook an entrepreneur, but he's also a family man - or maybe he just likes hiring his nephews because they're cheap! Timmy and Tommy are twin tanuki shop keepers who look after their uncle's shop in Animal Crossing, tending to the store, as Tom has more important things to do. Speak to either of the twins - who work in shifts - to purchase items in Tom Nook's shop, to sell items, or check prices on the turnip market. Meanwhile, Tom himself no longer likes to get his paws dirty in his shop, and has removed himself to the far more glamorous world of estate agency and home improvement in his new business, Nook's Homes.

These two cute little beasties obviously look up to their uncle, and model their customer service on his examples, borrowing a phrase or two here and there. However, these youngsters definitely have more to learn in the world of retail, hence their sometimes hesitant nature.

When you first start out in your town in Animal Crossing, your shop is fairly small - called Nookling Junction, it carries just enough to cover the basics. However, the more you spend, the more the Nook family can invest back into expansions, and before you know it, you'll end up with a multistory behemoth on your hands! Inside the shop, you can purchase writing paper, wallpaper, carpets, tools, furniture and even a fortune cookie - every one's a winner!
