Studio Ghibli's Ni No Kuni Gets A Date For The UK

Namco Bandai has announced that Ni No Kuni will be released in the UK on 25 January 2013. It is the first video game developed by the famed animation company Studio Ghibli, in collaboration with Level-5.

Here in the West, the game will be released as Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch.

An English dialogue track has been recorded for the European release, although it will be possible to play the game in Japanese with English subtitles if you prefer.

The story centres around a 13-year-old boy named Oliver who has lost his mother. The little chap travels to the land of Ni No Kuni, thanks to a magical book that appears to Oliver in the form of his favourite toy.

Ni No Kuni was released in Japan in December 2010 on the Nintendo DS, but over here it will be available for the PS3 instead.

There is an official website for the game but at the moment it mostly says 'Coming Soon'.
