NEO Awards 2013: Asian movie

Late last year, we invited you - the NEO readers - to vote on your favourite titles from 2013 for our NEO Awards, sponsored by Japan Journeys. Here are the results!

The winner of Best Asian movie in 2013 was Death Game (MVM). Proving that there's nothing scarier than a job interview, Hideo Nakata - the mastermind behind J-horror classic Ringu - strikes gold once again with his latest shocktastic flick, Death Game. Ten candidates must compete - or die - in a series of gruelling challenges that make The Apprentice's selection process look like a teddy bear's picnic. There's certainly a lot more blood in Nakata's version...

"I am delighted that Death Game has been awarded this accolade. With such a strong Japanese cast and coming from the director of The Ring, it was always a deserving candidate and is a fine example of the quality Asian cinema MVM seeks to represent in the UK." Tony Allen, MVM Entertainment
