Sheryl Nome cosplay

Macross Frontier Sheryl Nome cosplay by Shiaya Cosplay. Photo by Paper Cube.

Pose
The pose was orchestrated by the cosplayer herself, as naturally she knew the character much better than I did. It’s based off one of the poses Sheryl Nome does at her concert when she was wearing the dress.

Cosplayer
Shiaya Cosplay did an exceptional job of showing Sheryl Nome’s elegance during our shoot, and her expression shows the characters determination to convey feeling, just like in the series.

Shoot
The shoot lasted around 20 minutes with intervals where we moved around a bit to differ the backdrop slightly, depending on what camera angle and pose we were going for.

Setting
This was shot during a convention, so we had to work with what was available to us at the time. As the whole costume was prominently white, I wanted to add some other colours to the photo that would balance it out slightly and add interest. So I framed it with some overhanging leaves from a nearby tree, which was perfect for this.
