Mitsuko Delivers - Tonight at the ICA

A year on from the disaster that hit Japan, people are still trying to put their lives back together. Tonight at the ICA in London, Third Window Films presents a special screening of Mitsuko Delivers, the new film from Yuya Ishii. Third Window will be donating all of their proceeds from ticket sales to charities helping those affected by the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. The screening starts at 7PM and you can book tickets at the ICA website.

On Monday, 12 March, Asia House will host a screening of A Sense Of Home. The film is actually an anthology of short films all exploring the theme of 'home' and after the screening there will be a panel discussion with Channel 4 News Chief Correspondent Alex Thomson about the impact of events in Japan. Asia House is located at 63 New Cavendish Street, London, W1G 7LP. For full details on the screening visit asiahouse.org

On Tuesday, the Japan Foundation presents "Literature & Disaster in Japan : Reflections from History and the Present Day", a talk looking at the long term impact of natural disasters in Japan, from the Kanto Earthquake to the present day. The event is free but places are limited so advance booking is essential. Details can be found at www.jpf.org.uk
