DJ Kentaro Playing In London In July

DJ Kentaro, one of Japan's top DJs, is on tour and will be playing a rare set in London next month.

DJ Kentaro was the first Asian DJ to win the DMC World DJ Championships in 2002, breaking the record for the highest score ever at the contest.

After winning the competition, he has performed at Fuji Rock and other large scale festivals outside Japan and continued to tour all over the globe. His first DVD National Geoscratch was released in January 2005, which included the video Loop Daigakuin which has attracted more than two million views on Youtube.

In December 2004 Kentaro released a Mix album of tunes from UK label Ninja Tune titled On The Wheels Of Solid Steel.

In April 2006 saw Kentaro sign to Ninja Tune released his debut full-length solo album ENTER, which reached number 1 on the indie charts on Oricon in Japan and topped the iTunes Dance Chart.

On Saturday 14 July, DJ Kentaro will be performing at Xoyo in London, supported by Anchorsong.
