Girls Generation Look Set To Dominate 2013

Welcome to the final Kpop Saturday of 2012.

With Girls Generation set to release their new Korean album on 1 January 2013, the stock price of their management company, SM Entertainment, has jumped in value.

In November, SM Entertainment was down in the dumps, losing 15% of the value of its shares, but the announcement of the return of Girls Generation to the Korean market has seen the company's stock rise in value by 100 billion KRW (roughly US$93 million).

The group has released a new single Dancing Queen and a brand new video for the album's title track I Got A Boy, which is below.

The Girls have also released a teaser for their upcoming television special.

Despite being involved in a car crash just a few weeks ago, Secret are already back in action.

With Zinger recuperating from broken ribs sustained in the accident, the remaining three members - Hyosung, Sunhwa and Ji-eun - recently performed their new single Talk That on SBS, which you can see here.

The popularity of sub-groups that spin off from successful acts looks set to continue in the New Year.

Jiyoon And Gayoon from 4Minute will launch in 2013 as 2Yoon. Apparently an album has already been recorded and a video is in the works.

Similarly, SISTAR19 will return in January. The duo is comprised of Bora and Hyorin from SISTAR.

Not to be outdone, Super Junior's sub-group K.R.Y. have a new track, Promise You lined up for 23 January. The trio is made up of Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung and you can see a clip of the video here.

BIGBANG have a new CD coming in the new year. 2012 BIGBANG Live Concert CD - Alive Tour in Seoul captures the boys in concert and is due on 10 January 2013.

Plenty to look forward to in 2013! Stay tuned!
