I for one feel better knowing that we have established the cause of the problem. I always thought most J-Rock fans had some kind of money tree where they were getting their seemingly endless supply of dosh from. I was clearly mistaken.

And curse whichever person decided Versailles would only play once over here and make it a week in which I couldn't go.

Try living up here in the Western Isles..... ¬_¬ The closest any japanese band would likely get to this little place is Glasgow- and I'd reckon even that would be a stretch. How I'd love for something like It Came From Japan to randomly decide to happen in Stornoway- a 20 min flight and I'm there!
Alas.......

I book the shows for It Came From Japan. Believe me, we'd love to have events all over the UK, even in the Western Isles. We have actually done quite a few shows in small towns, and they've always been the most exciting and fun gigs.

However, we find that venue promoters in the north are less likely to take a risk on bands that are relatively unknown in the UK, especially with the current recession. For some reason we've never managed to crack Scotland.

You lot can fix this quite easily, of course. It's not hard to promote a live show. All you need is a venue and an audience. If you have both of those, the rest is easy. Drop us a line through our Facebook or MySpace anytime you want to step up!

In the meantime, we hope to see you in London, Brighton, Bournemouth, Bristol and Liverpool in April and May! Details at www.itcamefromjapan.co.uk

Yeahh i kinda see what you mean, i live near Liverpool (In the Northwest) and it's annoying as i cant travel to London just with my friends, it would cost a lot of money and stuff, but London is the capital so it does make sense, that the venues would sell out quicker so they'd choose there >.<

We haven't had any Japanese bands here at all. Dir en grey did play Leeds which is quite close by, though. But they mostly play in London, obviously because it's the capital city.

If you get a railcard it's not that expensive to travel and see them - I managed to get a return ticket for about £16 with my 16-25 railcard. The hotel is usually around £40-£60 and then you can do food for one day for about £20 or less. So if you really love the band it isn't THAT pricey. And the next day you can do some London sightseeing before going home!
