The Fantastic Mr Fox
In a word, fantastic! This is my favourite Wes Anderson movie by far, my favourite film adaptation of a Roald Dahl novel, and one of the best films George Clooney has made. The style, quirky and off kilter, is just perfect. The animation is a joy, and it's one of the best animated films I've seen in ages. Of course I haven't seen 'Up', but I'm a little sick of all the hype Pixar films get. Naturally 'Up' won the Golden Globe, and will win the Oscar with no difficulties.....but this little gem deserves credit for it's style, verve and visuals.
The cast are all spot on, naturally that means Clooney is great - but Meryl Streep is also especially good, and it's nice to hear Bill Murray and Willem DeFoe. It is definately not a movie made with kids in mind, which will annoy some folks.
Well tough cuss for them (as Mr Fox might say).
Must see movie!
10/10 (because some movies are perfect.

The book if Eli 8/10 I really liked it, alot of people have moaned at if for being slow, I think it worked for this film very well. On the whole well acted and Mila Kunis just keeps getting hotter! I did see the end from a mile away though. The cinema experiance probably helped this film alot. Also was a suprising amount of Brits in it.
Daybreakers 7/10 A good solid vampire film, for a 15 it had a good amount of gore. The acting was ok, one of Ethan Hawke's beter films. Willem Dafoe was his usual self with some funny one-liners. Suprisingly Sam Neill wasn't very good, he just came across as less than useless. This is a film that should be a good blue-ray when it comes out.
Max Payne 5/10 I haven't seenthis since it came out at the cinema, its much more of a noir detective film than the game. Mark Wahlberg put in his usual solid performance and Mila Kunis was OK. Chris "Ludacris" Bridges was rubbish, about as rubbish as he is in everything else (Gamer for example). Its an OK film but other than the nicely mixed CGI with the film its just not that interesting. The bad guys are rubbish too.
Shooter 8/10 I saw it on Friday now as it turns out was on telly bon Sunday night. I like this film, its a good modern version of the book its based on (which is a very good read). They could of gone into the whole Snipers mind a bit better, but it comes over well that Wahlberg's Bob Lee Swagger is a quiet thinking man. There was one thing that did bother me, Michael Peña, as his version of his charater was way too pathetic.

Shooter
Was pretty bad just your run of the mill hero who has to take the fall of the real bad guys. So is on run from the law and the bad guys to try to clear his name. Just run of the mill and since I saw a film with pretty much the same plot a week before which had better acting in and semi-beliveable charters, this comes off alot worse. 3.5/10.
Perfume the story of a murderer.
Its different Ill give it that much a serial killer with a super nose. Who kills women so he can keep there smell. Sounds daft and it is at times, but also comes off quite well some times too. The ending was well over the top and stupid but it had lots of naked ladies so not all bad. Orignal but a bit too silly and rubbish ending. 6/10.
Payback.
Well just not very good I dont really like mel Gibson very much but he is rubbish in this. There are so many better films about gangsters than this, but there is one good point to Mel Gibson's charter but not enough. 3.5/10.

I'd love to see a more closer adaptation, with maybe Tommy Lee Jones for Swagger (to get the age right for starters). As for the Fed, I had DiCaprio in mind. Damn good book, I can't really remember the film very well, have to watch it again one day...maybe.

Tommy would be good, don't know about DiCaprio as I'm not a massive fan.
I'd say Shooter is probably of the better sniper films. There are some terrible ones out there, particularly if Dolph Lundgren is involved.

If...
This 1968 film has been on my 'to watch' list for a while and I've finally watched it.
Satirising English Public School life, with the younger boys (known as Scum) enduring the harsh and brutal discipline of the Whips (prefects), all set against the counter-culture movement (hippies, demonstrations against authority, etc) of the time, which culminates in the Scum taking up arms in rebellion against the system and resulting in the famous end Founder's Day massacre sequence. The school staff delegate discipline totally to the Whips and become ineffectual to prevent some of the harsher punishments (A caning scene is especially brutal to watch)
Malcolm McDowell debuted in this film as non-conformist pupil Mick Travis and leads the insurrection. His strong performance here lead of course to his lead role in A Clockwork Orange.
The film switches between colour and black and white and features some very surreal scenes mixed in with the main storyline.
8/10

It had some good points simple because it making comments about the online world. Like a real pshome type of thing. But in the end it has kind been done better before in think it was called the running man. Which was a Ok film but it raised a good point seemed to be trying to hard to make a point, while trying to make a pure popcorn fun film. It did not really work all that well. 4.5/10.
The 4th kind.
A horror which was pretty scary in places but only really in two or three places. It made you really want to know what was going on and to find out and see what was doing all these things. It kind of blair witch type of film so if your not keen on that then you might not like this one. But its kinda scary in places and quite intresting but nothing that will blow you away. 7.5/10.

Angel-A – I quite enjoyed this. The performances from the two leads were top-notch and every frame looked stunning. I did find it quite hard to relate to the main character though and it did seem to be missing that extra something to make it truly unforgettable.
Overall it's definitely worth a look and I’ll probably be re-watching it very soon.
3.5/5

The Wolfman 7/10 A good solid werewolf film, solid cast, great scenery. The only real downside was the werewolfs looked a bit naff when the big reveal came. Good amount of gore though which I'll never say no to.
Cirque du Freak - The Vampire's Assistant 4/10 Naff, not very good acting and on the whole dull. Best part of the film was Salma Hayek and the CGI spider. I won't be watching any of its sequals.
