I may as well post this here because it's pretty huge news.

In the new guide released in Japan, Akira Toriyama revealed Mr. Satan's first name, and NO, IT ISN'T HERCULE!

It's Mark.




And spelt in Japanese as Maaku it's an anagram of Akuma. So there's your pun...

Also, Mister Satan is just his Ring Name.

Ok, so we're two episodes in, and really, what the hell?

This has been a total disappointment, we get some new animation for the opening and ending, and even two awesome songs for them, sure, but the animation quality of that is terrible. The HD part isn't even HD, just pretty new colours, it's blurry, and covered in dirt and scratches! Some of the characters don't sound right, Hiromi Tsuru isn't putting heart into Bulma at all, though Masako Nozawa as Son sounds better than before.

We were under the impression that everything would be colour corrected, sure, Goku's gi is Orange and Blue, but Vegeta and Nappa's armor is still messed up. And edited to follow the manga? They left in quite a bit of filler and included more Flash backs, and even ended up cutting out two pages from the manga!

For a 20th Anniversary celebration, it's really not all that great.

The newly recorded music is kind of a good change, but I still prefer Shunsuke Kikuchi's awesome score.

I think they have done a good job, its only 2 eps in so you cant really judge how the missing-filler is going to pan out for the rest of the series. I think the animation is great tbh, i compared it to the orginal and i think its miles better. Looking forward to ep 3!
